Good morning! The weeks halfway over 🙂 Today I wanted to share some of the fun things we did in Georgia from our last visit. The day we went to Six Flags we kept it a surprise from the kids. Basically, I’ve learned over the past 4 years that you don’t tell kids anything in advance 😉 It always works in my favor.
Once we arrived at the park and the kids saw the roller coasters, the excitement level was through the roof! They wanted to ride them all. Luckily for them, we planned to stay the whole day so they could ride and have fun.
The first ride we went on was a roller coaster (of course) and it was Xander’s only coaster ride. He didn’t like it 🙁 Everyone else loved it.
I saw Tweety and had to get a picture with him 😉 Growing up I loved Tweety Bird and still have a blanket I bought when I was in the 9th grade with him on it.
We coasted through the haunted house
Some of us liked it. One, not so much 😉
Sterling loved having Auntie Renee for a few days. She referred to her as her “buddy.” Their bond was adorable, but someone was not thrilled.
Every year I try to get Sterling to ride this ride and this was her year. As she was up high, she saw something else she wanted to ride.
Renee and Jayla rode some of the bigger roller coasters. While they were doing their thing, we found stuff for the younger two. Driving these cars were hilarious. Sterling and I rode together and she was going CrAzY! She did not like driving, ha!
We had a full day of school shopping. I didn’t plan to buy a whole lot because living in VA, they’ll still be wearing summer clothes until November. They have plenty! But, there were some good sales on long sleeves and jeans. I couldn’t pass them up especially since we will be needing them. They also picked out new shoes. No wearing flip flops to school 🙁
Afterward, Renee and I had pedicures done. It was bliss!
Jayla and Sterling had haircuts. While they were getting their hair done, Xander sliced his toe on the store door. It looked like a murder scene in there. Blood everywhere.
On our way back home we made a stop to visit our friends. It was so good to catch up. A good friend is someone you can pick up right where you left off. As if you never left. Living so far from friends can be hard. But we make it work.
These three also picked up where they left off. Such sweet friends!
